Attached to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion, Selfridge
Air National Guard Base, Selfridge, MI. Responsible for
spiritual, morale and wellbeing of a battalion of over 500
Seabees. From Aug 2010 to Jun 2011 NMCB 26 was mobilized to
Kandahar, Afghanistan and other locations in Middle East.
Initiated boosts in morale and wellness through ministries
such as Holy Joes Caf , a 24/7 coffee mess; Holy Smokes
Fellowship, a weekly cigar smoke including fellowship and
devotion; Holy Notes, a collection of instruments made
available for the battalion use; and adoption of wounded
warriors at Kandahar, a project to provide wounded warriors
with a better state of living and recovery by building
projects and gathering clothing and necessary items.
Collaboration and partnerships were made by the chaplain
with churches and organizations stateside in order to make
these ministries possible. Responsible for planning,
coordinating and carrying out week long Warrior Transition
processes to prepare all Seabees for their return home to
civilian life.

Attached to MEFREL 713, NOSC Chicago, NAVSTA Great Lakes,
IL. As a member of MEFREL 713 I have attended drill
weekends, serving as assistant training officer performing
necessary training for support of gaining command 3d MLG.
Annual training was conducted 20 Feb - 08 Mar 2010 in
Okinawa, Japan where responsible for ministry at 3d
Maintenance Battalion which comprised of 6 companies.
May 2009 - Jul 2010
Participated in over 50 Navy funeral honor details. Was
responsible for preaching at services and also participated
in the detail presenting flag to next of kin.

Chaplain Candidate On-the-Job-Training. Assisted the
Chaplain of the USS FORT MCHENRY with preaching, Bible
studies and counseling.

constructing and writing "The Helm," the monthly newsletter

lead and participated in Bible studies, lead Marines in
prayer prior to field exercises, and preached a Sunday
morning message onboard ship.
