Center of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban

Development's (HUD's) Office of Community Planning

and Development (CPD). The Center serves State and

local agencies, nonprofit organizations, public

interest groups, and others interested in housing,

community and economic development.

The Center serves as a clearinghouse providing

users with program regulations; model programs,

case studies, publications on a variety of housing,

community and economic development topics; funding

information; training and conference announcements;

and referrals to technical assistance providers.

Responsibilities: Performing data entry and

customer service tasks for Resource Database,

especially Event Database. Additional

responsibilities include being a back-up to the

Administrative Assistant Coordinator to answer

incoming calls and other additional

Data Entry Specialist, 2000 to 2004 - Worked on a

contract for the U.S. Department of Housing and

Urban Development's (HUD), Office of Community

Planning and Development (CPD). Prepared and

organized correspondence and reports; maintained

event calendars; provided database supports for

Organization Database, Event Calendar Database,

Materials Database, Consultant Database and Funding

Database. Abstracted and entered information on

relevant housing to the database. Searched

internet sites, screened magazines brochures, and

reported and contacted various organizations to

solicit publications to be added to the database.

Additional responsibilities include assisting

Database Supervisor in maintaining-up-to-date the

programs and providing creative suggestions for

assuring optimum customer satisfaction.

Data Entry Specialist, 2000 - Worked on contract

for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of

Educational Research and Improvement's (OERI)

project, Aspen's ACCESS ERIC. The goals of this

project are to construct an inventory of products

in a database that can and will eventually be made

available to the public; and establish baseline

data and performance goals designed to measure

OERI's progress in ensuring that the findings and

products of education research are useful to

policymakers and practitioners; and education

research reflects accepted standards of technical

merit and evidence. Provided administrative and

technical support; researched products; screened

books and magazines and reported and contacted

various organizations to solicit publications to be

added to the database.
