Responsible for day to day management and long range strategy of General
Services Contractor with $120M in sales in the Las Vegas market. Direct
reporting staff of 4 Directors and 4 Senior Managers, managed a full time
staff of 25 to supervise a union workforce that peaked at 1,800 in a 600K
square foot warehouse.
Direct production responsibility for Material Handling, Deco Operations and
Electrical Rigging for over 200 events a year, including the largest trade
shows in North America - CES, Conexpo, MAGIC.
Captured additional $2.5M in OI, leading the city's Lean Initiative.
Negotiated favorable contract with IATSE that held increases in wages and
benefits below national averages.
Received company's ACE Award for implementing a warehouse consolidation
that reduced the footprint by 25% and afforded a write down of over $7M
over multiple years.
General Manager, Northeast Division 2005 - 2008
P&L responsibility for a $40M organization, producing events from Atlantic
City, NJ to Boston, MA, including the NY market. Managed all lines of
business including sales, operations, account management, customer
services, finance and facility.
Brought the Division in to profitability during tenure. Went from negative
OI in 2005 to profitability in 2007 with substantial performance bonuses
paid to the staff for the first time in over 5 years.
Restructured Operations team by hiring and training 7 new employees in 14
months, driving a culture shift that improved Labor to Revenue metric while
providing a substantially improved product.
Negotiated a game changing contract with the largest customer that
generated additional revenue and doubled Direct Margin.
Negotiated favorable 5 year contract with IBT that provided substantial
improvements.
