Manager/ Executive in Training
New talent begins as Assistant Store Management, and with growth in the
coming months to proceed to one's own store to manage. I am responsible
here for mastering all aspects of store operations from the bottom up. Ours

Responsibilities for this unique position began as a key part of the team
responsible for complete planning and creation of a new 1-store family
owned business formed from the larger 5-store operation with the same name.
Duties presently include all aspects of corporate/executive operations,
store operations and leadership. Key upper level duties have included full
use, interpretation of financial reporting, Preparing yearly and monthly
flexible and fiscally responsible budgets; Analysis of sales floor space,
reallocation and/or redesign of store layout, reorientation of sales floor
space. Merchandising the store with senior store staff - Initiation and
maintenance of Banking relationships, recurring vendor relationships,
creating and maintaining a
productive and contributing workforce of 30+ employees, payroll budgeting
and employee scheduling, organizing sales floor activity, developing and
implementing merchandising programs, maintaining a motivated and cohesive
workforce, cash handling and sales data reconciliation; also Accounts

Assistant Office Manager, 2002 - 2005 Responsible in this capacity for
working independently reconciling invoices with purchases, creating
spreadsheets, calculating payroll for up to 100 employees, manually
tallying daily sales information, posting funds to and from main and
satellite bank accounts, inventory control and management and the
reconciliation of each store's week-end bookkeeping. Duties also included
purchase order entry, assistance in the buying process and complete non-POS
based inventory management. In this capacity I was required to successfully
manage the office during vacations.
Director of Advertising and Information Systems, September 1999-Ongoing
Position is that of a Corporate Executive in a 5 Store $10,000,000 retail
chain, designed for generation, implementation and management of company
advertising and marketing programs. Duties include responsibility for
contracting with advertising media agents, print media executives,
Newspaper sales directors and Direct Mail account executives. Included is
the creative production of the advertised products. Adhering to strict
fiscal budget constraints was required. Additional responsibilities include
full technical support for home office and local store needs, maintenance
of software and equipment and installation of new programming and
equipment. This position included permanent seating on Big Value Outlet's
Board of Advisors. The Director of Advertising and Information Systems
reported directly to President and Owner of Big Value Outlet, Inc. Hiring
