Rex Energy Corporation is an independent E&P company with operated and non-operated oil and gas production in the
Appalachian, Illinois, and Rockies regions. The company had an IPO in July 2007 and has since engaged in several
multimillion-dollar joint ventures. Revenue was $69 million in 2010 and is expected to be more than $100 million in
2011. This significant increase in revenue is largely due to Rex’s Marcellus activity in Butler County, PA, where the
company completed construction of a cryogenic gas processing facility in December 2010.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2011 – Present Rex Energy, State College, PA

Manages all general accounting functions with emphasis on overseeing the preparation of
monthly financial statements prior to review by the VP of Accounting and CFO. In charge of
corporate cash management, including a $160 million line of credit. Trusted to approve
bimonthly payroll with access to confidential pay information through ADP. Verifies
accuracy of monthly JIBs. Supervises, mentors, and leads staff of 8-11.
Pulled together department personnel during quarter end close after sudden
departure of previous accounting manager to achieve 10-day financial close.
Saved company at least 40 personnel hours per week by creating system imports and
allocation groups to be used by Land and Accounting Departments.
Improved process for accruing AP invoices to reduce time spent from 16 to 2 hours.

Responsible for all oil, gas, and NGL revenue and their corresponding accruals as revenue
grew from $31 million in 2005 to $69 million in 2010. Controlled all revenue and expense
decks, well counts, and monthly revenue distributions. Handled all oil and gas marketing
and corresponding contracts. Tracked production for all gas wells and worked with field
personnel to create processes for identifying and correcting line loss. Oversaw filing of
appropriate state and federal production and taxes. Managed staff of 1-3.
Engineered monthly process for revenue accruals, totaling approximately $4 million,
to be completed by the 5th business day.
Developed revenue SOX processes and controls after IPO.
Directed multimillion-dollar royalty interest buyout program.
Assisted in drafting the MD&A section for the Q’s and K’s.
Stepped in at the request of the CEO and CFO on two separate occasions to lead the
Land Department as it went through two series of major personnel changes.
Organized and implemented lease mapping software for all land leases.
Essential part of Permian Basin asset divestiture ($17 million), Williams joint venture
($74 million), Sumitomo Corporation joint venture ($140 million), and several smaller
acquisitions.
