T o Whom It May Concer n
I am responding to your postings for Housing Specialist, as Property Manager for the City
of New York’s Housing Preservation and Development (HPD), one of my functions as a
Property Manager were to assisted tenants residing in distress properties. Our goal in the
7A Program was to provide permanent and affordable housing for the indigent or
homeless. As a manager, I also function as the liaison between Landlord Tenant Court,
Non for Prof it Groups as well as Real Estate Companies.
On many occasions I would help tenants avoid eviction, if a tenant has fallen behind in rental obligations. As a
counselor for HPD it was incumbent upon me to help tenants resolve their rental issues. An agreement between the
tenant and the landlord in the form of a stipulation would be agree upon by both parties.
In some cases rental issues between the tenant and the landlord was resolved before it was present to the courts. In your
description for Housing Specialist, it seems you are focus on obtaining housing for your clients. In this area I can be an
asset, as a manager for HPD I had to reach out to Non for Profit Groups and Real Estate Companies to facilitate a safe
and healthy enjoinment for tenants who wish to be relocate from distress properties. Full inspections were made the
property(s) to verify whether landlord was in compliance with of the New York City Housing Code, before a tenant was
allow to occupy the premises. Ability to coach clients on what questions may be asked in an interview.
Note: I can be reached at 1 – 347 – 545 – 2605
