I believe that abortion should be banned, because it is an irresponsible act and there are

alternative options for mothers who can’t take care of their kids. People who believe that

abortion is an acceptable action would argue that pregnancy may be a mistake and abortion is the

way to correct that mistake. In some cases people who believe in abortions may have a point and

that point is that the pregnant woman ultimately makes the choice whether or not to keep the

unborn child. The problem here is, what about the people who use and abuse the act of abortion

(the people who get abortions 2 or 3 times). If we continue to think of abortion so loosely then

we must not respect our own lives and in essence value the human life. Whether people want to

agree with me or not, abortion is wrong in so many ways and it promotes the wrong message.

Abortion should be banned, because nowadays young mothers and even the older

mothers are taking advantage of the choice to get abortion rather than to take care of their

responsibility. In our society today irresponsible people feel that it’s okay to have unprotected

sex and the consequence of having unprotected sex is being pregnant. When they become

pregnant they become scared and uncertain that they would be able to take care of that child.

People in this type of predicament only have a couple of choices and those choices usually end

up being to keep the baby or to abort the baby. It has become an acceptable act to abort a baby

that you’ve made in the United States and we all knows it’s a negative action that should be

banned. By accepting the act of aborting an unborn child we’re condoning this type of act instead

of holding the people responsible for their choice of having unprotected sex. Abortion should be

banned because the idea alone promotes the wrong message to young woman who use abortion

as a way to escape responsibility.

Abortion should be banned, because it promotes the senseless killing of another

individual. In the United State we sentence people to life in jail for killing someone intentionally

but doesn’t abortion have the same effect? For example, Brittney might be pregnant and want to

have an abortion because she is of young age but her parents might want her to keep her baby.

Brittney makes the decision to abort here baby, however, Brittney’s parents may not agree with

the senseless killing of their grandchild. That’s just like in the real world when someone kills

another individual for a legitimate reason that other people may not agree with. It’s the same idea

and this is why abortion should be banned because it’s promoting all of the wrong things.

Abortion is not the only alternative option for women. Other alternative options include

practicing safe sex (protected sex), abstinence, adoption and birth control. Another way to

prevent the act of abortion is practicing abstinence where as there is no sex until marriage or just

have no sex at all. My beliefs are that abortion is just an easy way out for any pregnant women

who decide not to take care of their responsibilities.

Having an abortion is accepted in our society which makes it okay to kill an innocent

individual who has no voice and did not ask to be brought into this world. I wonder when will

people wake up and see that this is wrong and that we have to own up and be responsible. My

mother was a single parent and took care of me and my brothers. She owned up and took care of

her responsibilities and worked hard to offer us a good life. A lot of other people have also made

it being single parents or being a parent in general. I believe giving up on responsibility that you

created is just a shame and I hope one day abortion will be officially banned.
