Coordinated, managed & checked project work for 5 remote designers to

complete design tasks. Designs include cabinet design, S/S & CORIAN tops

and various associated components, minor electrical & plumbing layouts

Team Lead Designer of custom fire truck cabs while adhering to customer

specific requirements & maintaining compliance with NFPA. Coordinated,

trained & checked project work for designers, new engineers & CAD drafters

to complete design tasks & weekly custom cab production schedule, and to

utilized ECR / ECN procedures for new & existing products.. Additional

responsible included daily technical engineering support to sales,

fabricators & assemblers utilizing aluminum and extrusions, vacuum formed

ABS components including door trims, overhead consoles, headliners and dash

housing assemblies. Designed seating and safety restraint systems, all

safety glass components, heat & A/C, electric over hydraulic cab tilt

systems, and all miscellaneous cab components. Represented the engineering

department with customer design review meetings for order entry, worked

with inter-departments to spearheaded on time finished products,

responsible for interpretation of customer shop orders to create new

compliant products, BOM's, generating line sheets to cost & build from

utilizing an Oracle driven configurator, determination of root cause &

resolution on production floor.

. Designed a multitude of custom cabs ranging from one man drill rig cabs

to eleven man tilt cabs that accommodate cab over engine concepts with a

full height raised roof for on scene remote command operations within a

climate controlled environment

. Skilled in communicating with vendors and customers concerning designs to

achieve successful designs

. Generated cost savings through maximizing efficiency techniques with

interior trim Bills of Materials to be generic in scope, color and

texture specific at the single component level. Color & texture

information became a top level item as this process greatly reduced

material waste & time for a high volume of "JIT" custom products
