Orange High School
August 2004 - August 2009
Taught 7 classes in traditional hand drawn animation and graphic design at
the High School and Adult levels.
Counseled students on an individual basis, allowing them to be as
successful in animation, art and school as possible.
Collaborated with students to develop DESIGN orange, a laboratory and
catalyst for change at Orange High. DESIGN orange's mission was to develop
the next generation of design leaders. Their radical "Be The Change"
campaign sought to improve the overall quality of the school by increasing
student attendance.
Was one of three schools in the state approached to create a 15th
Anniversary got milk? campaign for Goodby, Silverstein + Partners in San
Francisco. The students created a fully realized advertising campaign that
they presented to Jeff Goodby himself and a team of creatives in less than
six weeks.

Primarily responsible for all of the recruitment/marketing efforts of the
colleges Admissions office to prospective students and other interested
markets.
Reviewed and counseled student portfolios to assess level of work in
application to the college. Part of the admissions committee - reviewed
portfolios for admission to individual departments based on pre-determined
criteria
Worked to increase enrollment campus wide and department specific, creating
specific goals and targets that matched with the colleges overall vision
and enrollment targets.
Used social networking to reinforce the marketing messages of the
department.
Worked to develop new and inventive programs and means of communication
that will expand the reach of the college in new and different ways, such
as but not limited to social media.
Using technology to create ways to connect with students in a way they have
become accustomed to that are different from the standard business model
used in the past.
Fostered all relationship-related programs, such as campaigns and events to
prospective students, parents, teachers/faculty.
Developed and supervised the School Visit program. Worked with the
Assistant Directors to targeting key schools, key demographics and regions
to ensure that the messages of the college are promoted. Sought out new
areas of opportunity for recruitment that could expand the diversity and
recognition of the college
Regular and ongoing analysis of data, which formed the basis of strategies
for improvement.
Developed specific international strategies and recruitment plans targeted
to each global area, by understanding the culture and colloquialisms that
would allow the college to be successful.
