GKN AEROSPACE, CHEM-TRONICS - El Cajon, CA 1981 - Present

A world class manufacturing, engineering, and design facility in the

aerospace industry. Supply Chain supports three GKN facilities, El Cajon,

Santa Ana and Mexicali which have annual sales revenue from $135M to $166M.

Commodities currently responsible for are raw materials (forgings,

castings, titanium sheet, plate and bar and additional alloys), machined

and sheet metal details, complex assemblies and composite machined details.

Responsibilities have included extrusions, perishable tools, shop

supplies, chemicals, capital equipment and other commodities.

Technical Buyer III 2007 - Present

. Implement competitive and sole source procurements to meet required

delivery dates.

. Compile purchase order packages in accordance with system procedures and

government regulations.

. Evaluate suppliers' bids including pricing, schedules, Ts&Cs and quality.

. Negotiate procurements on pricing, schedules, quality and terms and

conditions.

. Establish and manage LTA's with strategic suppliers.

. Calculate carrying costs as a factor for delivery of product, managing

inventory and negotiations.

. Conduct cost or pricing analysis.

. Proactively identify and negotiate cost reduction opportunities.

. Review supplier delivery performance, follow up on orders and expedite as

needed.

. Develop and manage in-sourcing strategies of machined details and sheet

metal details reducing cost and lead times while increasing in house

regular basis to ensure material requirements are fulfilled.

. Manage supplier development, supplier performance and supplier relations.

. Manage pull systems and JIT delivery to control inputs to inventory and

impact reductions to inventory levels.

Statistical Process Control Analyst 1998-

2007

. Performed process mapping and recommended process improvements that

resulted in cost savings, reduced machining time, improved quality.

. Conducted Statistical Analysis of data for Process Stability and

Capability.

. Developed and implemented reduced inspection plans which decreased the on-
