Summary
• Today I am the most awesome Substitute Teacher in the Cicero Illinois public school District 99.
I am able to teach a variety of subjects. I teach specials as well, like Music class, Gym class,
Computer class, Art Class and I am often the literacy facilitator at many schools.
• I have been the most righteous Bilingual-Transitional Teacher and Substitute Teacher for over 20
schools in the Cicero School District 99 the Principals and students are happy with my teaching
skills and professional manner.
I rule at teaching in the classroom, conducting and managing a classroom full of students, Speaking
professionally with parents at parent-teacher conferences, and working with students in a caring and a
professional manner, while rocking in preparing lesson plans for students in all five subjects and work
well team teaching with other teachers. I rock at creating and coordinating drama plays. When teaching
the sixth grade we performed a drama skit of the Iliad in Spanish. I love teaching Greek mythology. My
daughter is very interested in Greek mythology. I also enjoy teaching swimming skills to students at the
YMCA.
• I have been totally awarded by students and teachers for being an awesome teacher.
• I have been a member in total standing of the teachers union in the past.
• I recently resigned my position as a Sunday School Superintendent for 2.5 years at the Oak Park
Avenue Baptist Church in Berwyn, Illinois. I also coordinated the drama club at the OPA Church.
I resigned to come to Florida and relocate here.
Skills & Accomplishments
I have partnered with Mr. Luis Alarcon, team teaching in the Bilingual-Transitional program. Mr. Luis
Alarcon has taught for over 20 years and was a pleasure to work with. We worked together with two
different classrooms in a bilingual setting. Mr. Luis Alarcon taught in English one class and I taught the
other class in Spanish. We switched classes in the afternoon. Mr. Alarcon took my morning class in the
afternoon and taught them all five subjects in English and I took his class in the afternoon and taught
them all five subjects in Spanish. [Date] August 1998 to June 1999
I have had the most wonderful opportunity of working in almost all the Cicero Public Schools District 99
of Illinois for over 7 years. I enjoy the flexible schedule and working with the different staff members
and students from all over Cicero, Il. [Date] Jan. 1997 to May 1998
Accomplishments I am very proud of are: This past summer I completed the BLBC 438 masters degree
program course. I have passed the Basic Skills test in Illinois, I have had the Type 29 certification in the
past through testing, and I have my substitute certification here in Illinois. I will continue my schooling
in Florida for my masters degree in Teaching a second language or in Bilingual education.

Responsibilities: Teaching the various K-8th grades all five subjects in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities: Guarding, setting up and keeping safe the swimming pool area. As an Instructor,
prepare and teach parent-tot classes to 12 year olds, swimming skills. Training by the YMCA Aquatics
instructor and other YMCA employees.

Tax Professional
Responsibilities: To prepare income tax papers for clients and advise on some finances.
I enjoyed very much helping single mothers and low income clients. Education: 800 hrs of Basic skills
in Tax Preparation. I returned in 2010 reviewing the Basic Skills Course to return to helping clients with
their taxes. I currently an employee as I bring in clients. I have not given notice of leaving. I would like
to continue courses on taxes here in Florida on the side.

Sixth Grade Bilingual-Transitional Teacher
Responsibilities: Acted as facilitator and guided two sixth grade groups of twenty five students in the
Spanish language. Prepared teaching lesson plans for the sixth grade Bilingual-Transitional students.
Partnered with Mr. Luis Alarcon, who has been teaching for over 20 years. Mr. Luis Alarcon taught the
students in English and I taught in Spanish. Attended parent-teacher conferences, teacher institute
meetings and building meetings after school. Attended workshops on the TIM’s method. School year
1998 to 1999. I left on maternity leave to care for my baby girl to return when she commenced
kindergarten.
