Insurance Verification Representative/Pre-Registration

Primary job duties:

. Determining patients insurance eligibility and benefits available for

proposed plan of treatment/admission.

. Analyzing and calculating the patients portion of the hospital bill

with consideration given to contractual terms and conditions, patients

benefits, services to be rendered and/or the length of stay if

inpatient.

. Assistant to Management in all Administrative tasks, including

disruptive and unexpected events.

. Demonstrating ability to function in various work settings, producing

results consistent with the department's expectations and most

importantly working with others.

. Tracking appropriate pre-authorization documents to ensure approvals

prior to treatment and reduce the risk of denial.

. Maintaining competency in the use of computer and software programs

necessary to create and manage the patients financial chart and to

access multiple computer systems to interpret and verify insurance

eligibility as appropriate to the payer.

. Systems utilized in performing job duties:

. Word 2007, Excel, IDX, Carepricer, CHAIS, CAREMEDIC,

Insurance Verification websites, UGS (Medi-Care), Medi-Cal,

CCS, Ontrac, TAR, Cerner Scheduling, Passport, McGrids,

Voicert, Pixcert.
