career with Bryan Herta Autosport. Contract work and short
term projects welcome.
Experience: Bryan Herta Autosport
Lead Damper Engineer
1/2012-Present
Responsible for the damping system on the DW12 Indycar of
Bryan Herta Autosport. This includes: performance
analysis of the innovative inerter hybrid damper units,
performing material and failure analysis on the prototype
components, and applying new technologies to increase
handling capabilities. In addition, the position requires
the balancing of available resources, close monitoring of
the cost and schedule for the damper department, and
problem solving issues with component failures.
LMI Aerospace
Contract Engineer
11/2009-8/2010 and 10/2011-1/2012
Developed conceptual designs for CNC-mill tool fixtures
based on CAD models of Boeing 777 production components.
Interpreted blueprints and reversed engineered CAD models
from original drawings based on customer specifications.
Communicated with various disciplines within the company to
create manufacturing estimates and coordinate the efforts of
subcontractors. Created assembly and part drawings using
principles of GD&T. Programmed MasterCAM CNC tool paths for
production aerospace components.
Atech Reid GP
Thesis Work
2/2011-9/2011
Determined optimal race setups for the Formula Renault race
cars using laptime simulation and advanced dynamic modeling
software. This project required risk management and in depth
research. All of the results were reported to the engineering
team at Atech Reid GP.
Saint Louis University
Teaching Assistant
1/2008-5/2009
Taught students of various backgrounds while directing labs
for the Mechanics of Solids and Physics II classes.
Saint Louis University
Formula SAE Team Lead Designer
5/2006-5/2009
Headed the design efforts of the 2008/2009 racecar. Designed
95% of the car unassisted, including the car s innovative
rotary damper suspension.
DoTec Engineering
Engineering Intern
12/2007-1/2008
Researched and presented concepts for sealing a medical
device to protect the sensitive electronics from
environmental contaminants.
Star Manufacturing
Engineering Intern
5/2007-8/2007
Scrutinized and modified illustrations for user manuals and
constructed bills of materials as well as engineering
drawings.
