Subject: Application for a Teacher
Respected Principal,
I would like to apply for a teaching position in the School. I am an Indian citizen, currently
live with my husband, who is a doctor at Royal Bahrain Hospital. I obtained my Doctor of Philosophy
in Botany from Kanpur University (CSJMU) Kanpur, India in 2011. Prior to this, I did post
graduation in Botany (M.Sc. Botany) and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biology from same above
university, Kanpur and have received valuable experience in India as well as at International
School, Dammam in the last twelve years. I am also qualified to teach general science and have
done Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Rohtak University, Rohtak, India.
Through my experience and training, I gained the ability to apply various and effective
teaching strategies and techniques in the classroom to create a safe learning environment in
which students can actively learn and develop their self-esteem. These techniques include Tribes
Learning Community, Differentiation, Teaching-Learning Critical Pathway, and Active Learning
style. Furthermore, I have other relevant skills that have been very effective in enhancing my role
as a teacher such leadership, applying technology in the classroom, and organizing
extracurricular activities.
As an educator, my mission was extended beyond the school work to include community
volunteering. I have an outstanding record of volunteer work with leadership roles in various
community activities in Delhi, India. This volunteer work includes teaching, organizing social
events, and running educational camps.
I wish to be considered for a teaching position at your School. I would be delighted to
present a model lesson before the school committee to evaluate my skills in class. I look forward
to discussing the opportunities available in your school at your convenience. Thank you for your
time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Hem Lata Singh
