Human Resources
To Whom It May Concern;
I am seeking an entry level new graduate LPN position, preferably full time, but part time okay if will lead to
full time within 3-6 months. I have completed not only the LPN program, but also half way through the RN
program. I had to stop the RN program in AZ due to my husband having a heart attack in WA. I have a
current Arizona LPN license in good standing, and I am in the process of transferring it to Washington.
During my transition period between leaving school and moving to WA, I worked for Oasis Home Health as
an LPN in AZ up until the week prior to leaving for WA.
I would prefer to obtain a position in patient care where I can continue to learn hands on skills such as minor
surgical procedures, wound care, or orthopedic procedures. I thrive on learning and want to be challenged.
I am willing to go through any training to meet the requirements your organization may have.
I have a strong background working with families within a crisis setting; problem solving; patient education;
and coming up with unique ways to teach the more difficult patients or within unusual situations. Many of the
families I worked with had children with psychiatric issues and out of the box thinking was a primary skill I
developed and continue to strengthen daily.
During my clinical rotations I was able to utilize and strengthen my critical thinking and organizational skills;
time management; along with patient assessment, goals, interventions, evaluations and outcomes.
Clinicals were experienced at the following medical facilities:
Casa Grande Regional Medical Center
Medical/Surgical (August through December 2010) (March through May 2011)
Telemetry (January through March 2011)
Surgical (September 2010)
OB/Nursery (September through October 2011) (February through March 2012)
Phoenix Children’s Hospital (Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Hospital)
NICU, Ortho (October through December 2011)
NICU, Neuro (April through May 2012)
Arizona State Hospital (Level 1 Behavioral Health Institution)
Assessment, evaluation, patient care, patient education (August through September 2011)
(January through February 2012)
One day clinical rotations also included the Public Health Department, Head Start, Endoscopic, Tribal
Health, Arizona Training Center (Developmental Disabilities), and Radiology. Because of my interest in
surgery, I was able to observe over a dozen additional ortho surgeries through my own Orthopedic
Surgeon’s practice.
I so appreciate the time and consideration you have given me and hope you are interested in continuing to
review the enclosed resume.
I sincerely hope to hear from you in the near future.
Respectfully, Tina Swearingen
