I am applying for the position of Aerospace Product Manager for which my background directly qualifies me. Before my current career as a franchise owner, I have led product management teams in two multi-national companies with premium brand positions in consumer retail goods. Some of the strengths that I developed throughout my career that relate to this position are strategic planning, market research, project management, financial forecasting, and leadership within a cross functional team.
My part in strategic planning involved 3 year product roadmap inception and execution to grow existing product sales along with creating new product segments for incremental sales growth. My market research experience ranges from organizing both quantitative and qualitative consumer research through focus groups, online panels, as well as leading B2B forums for specific channel requirements. Another area of product research specialty is competitive landscape and overall market analysis to identify growth segments and unique product opportunities. In addition to identifying market trends, I have led sales & production forecasting / reporting to quantify financial impact of new and existing products. In project management I have created and implemented an organization wide product launch procedure to cover process from concept to launch for multiple product lines, while ensuring cost targets, on time launch, and product quality. I have worked within cross-functional teams within technical development process and possess strong written and verbal skills to ensure effective communication. I have written several product specification requirements for use by development teams, as well as for implementation for production launch. Past job requirements have been to acquire project funding from senior management and key stakeholders through showing meaningful investment return, market share gain, and growing bottom line profit. I have worked with both internal stakeholders as well as external partners such as both major retail chains and independent dealers throughout North America.
I am looking to re-enter a career aligned with my past experience after currently owning and positioning my own small business for sale in less than two years. In this role I have planned and executed online marketing campaigns with focus on lead generation to conversion while creating positive ROI. I have established presence on social media outlets to attract and inform B2B partners and establish a new brand. I have an entrepreneurial drive that has helped me create sales, retain customers, and excel in time management. I work independently to set and achieve goals that relate to growing a business with a focus on customer satisfaction.
