“Synthesis and Mode-of-Action of Insecticidal Pyrazolines”
Title of PhD Thesis:
Objective: QSAR based design, synthesis, stereochemistry. Molecular modeling and mode of action studies of
pyrazoline compounds to make them more attractive candidate for commercialization. About 200 compounds were
prepared for lead generation and activity optimization work. One of the candidate was commercialized in 1996 by
the mutual understanding between university and Rohm and Hass of Japan

An Inventor on Basic Chemical Research
Developed benzyloxy pyridine compounds as a novel class of insecticide. One of the representative candidate
showed LC50 at 2ppm (to develop this molecule about 300 molecules were prepared for lead generation and
optimization)

New safe compound excellent in insecticidal and acaricidal effects even on insect pests having developed resistance
to chemicals, not showing environmental pollution and toxicity to mammals and fishes. Treated as an attractive
