To Whom it May Concern:
As soon as I saw your posting for your recent opening, I knew it was the perfect position for me – and
that I was the perfect solution for you. Let me explain further:
As you will see from the attached resume, I’ve worn a lot of different hats. As a Campaign Manager in
Politics I have been heavily involved with all aspect that could benefit your organization. . From
fundraising, e-blasts, public relations and web marketing and print production, you name it, I’ve done it.
I’m extremely motivated, organized and disciplined – you have to be to work on the road.
While my official title for Patrick’s Campaign is Campaign Manager/Consultant, in reality I am known as
the person who could do everything. I have had many hats in this campaign, from speech writer, to door
knocker, researcher extraordinaire, media specialist, PowerPoint & Word guru, event speaker and my
favorite was being called motor mouth. We are a small campaign where everyone had to pitch in, and I
thrived on the excitement of being involved at every level of every project.
No matter where I’ve been, I’ve produced topnotch work because I’m dedicated to making sure each and
every piece stands out from the crowd. I pride myself on my ability to recognize and articulate a distinct
voice for every candidate or project.
While politics is my passion, community and what it stands for is my bread and butter. Keeping on top of
projects and making sure all parts get to the finish line at the same time is one thing I do best. The ability
to juggle projects and never missing a deadline didn’t just develop through my professional experience.
My life has been full of curveballs that have just made me stronger. I’ve learned to budget my time and
my assets, and most importantly, I’ve learned to be flexible and to get things done.
I know what you’re thinking – that yes, I am the perfect person for the job, but there is no way you can
afford me. But I’m not in it for the money – well, I am, but it isn’t the most important thing. I’m looking
for a position where my contributions count and my efforts are appreciated – and hopefully a long-term
commitment. The fact that you’re in my favorite city is a big plus – So let’s talk soon.
Sincerely,
Matthew Wilson

various other tasks. Our goal is to get across to the voting constituents on what they are voting for

Moving Manager
My overall job at Mozart is to manage 28 Apartments building complexes (over
1500 apartments) with all of the move-ins and move-outs. I also coordinate all the parking,
to keep our lots as efficient as possible. I deal heavily with the public and have constant
phone and e-mail conversation with clients, to ensure matter are being handled properly by
those employees under me. I delegate work and deal with unhappy clients, and have to be
quick witted to find resolutions.
Weleski Transfer (Atlas Moving)
Tarentum, PA
2010-2012
Mover
Daily duties included driving truck, loading and unloading furniture and dealing
with customers on the daily basis. This was a college job that worked around my school
and activity schedule.
Brackenridge Heights Country Club
Brackenridge, PA
2002-2010
Bar Manager
This is the where I felt I did the most growing. I started as a bus boy and through
the years I became bar manager. This was also my second family and the included all the
members and most of all the staff. I learned the value of loyalty and also what hard work
can do for you and what it could lead to. The relationships that I made at the club
impacted me not only as a worker, but also as a person. I learned many skills, talking with
vendors, placing orders, dealing with customers, managing employees, making schedules
and payroll to name a few. Not only did I learn a lot more at the country club, I learned the
value of teamwork and no matter what the product is, if marketed correctly it will sell. I
also learned never to give up quality for quantity, because having people come back more
than once is more important than one initial visit. I feel I learned more from these eight
years then any college has ever taught me
