PROJECT DETAILS

M Sc Project: “An analysis of urban land use and land cover change in Chennai metropolitan: a GIS and

Remote Sensing approach”(The study will provide land use land cover change of Chennai metropolitan and

the study also predicts the future land use land cover of Chennai for 2021 using Marcove Chain Model. Study

also analyses the correlation between land use, land value and population growth).

INTERNSHIP TRAINING

Internship Training: Centre for Earth Science Studies, Trivandrum, Kerala.

The works done in the internship are listed below:

1. Mapping medical facilities in Kerala

2. Mapping of Land Use land cover of KallaraPanchayath, Trivandrum, Kerala.

3. Survey was carried out using GPS.

• Paper presented on “Emerging ideas on adaptation of climate change”. International seminar

on ‘climate change and its impacts’ conducted by Department Of Geography, university of

Madras,2011.

• Paper presented on “Impact of Climate Change over Urban Vegetation: A case study on

Chennai Metropolitan”. National seminar on “Climate Change” Conducted by Department of

Geography, Government College Coimbatore,2012.
