I spent a month teaching at the Jerusalem School in Bethlehem, in the

Palestinian part of the West Bank. The opportunity came about in my

spent the month teaching the fifth and eleventh grade theology class and

physical Ed., in addition to co-teaching fifth grade math and English. Many

of the children I spent time teaching have behavioral issues that are part

of much larger issues faced within their community. This experience is the

Academy Prep is a charter school located in south Saint Petersburg serving

fifth to eight graders in a impoverished community that only sees three out

of these young men and women. We approach our work through prayer,

planning sessions, group learning, personal education, counseling and

coaching.

Vacation Bible School, North Kingstown, RI - 2003 through 2010

Each year my church hosts a week long vacation bible school. During this

week kids from local housing projects and neighborhoods come to our church
