SELECTED Project Manager for the overhaul of The Scripps Research
Institute website. ACCOMPLISHMENTS Led the effort to redesign the
external website, implement a content management
system, and develop the institute's first intranet. Responsible
for planning and definition of project goals, deliverables,
tasks and resource requirements, assembling and coordinating
project staff, and scheduling project timelines, tracking
project deliverables, providing direction and support to project
team, assuring quality, constantly monitoring and reporting
progress to all stakeholders, and evaluating and assessing
project results and team members.
Led a team of peer managers in the coordination of a charity
golf tournament.
Assigned to coordinate a golf tournament after the development staff
left, with only four months to arrange everything but the date
and locale. Lead the team of managers and staff that solicited
sponsors, negotiated with vendors, recruited and trained
volunteers, developed tracking systems, deadlines, and
calendars, and hired entertainment. Tournament raised $150,000.
