Title: Competitive Benchmarking In the Development of 1.5 Tonne Split Air

Conditioners

Product Benchmarking of 1.5 tonne split air conditioners was done in

this project to identify the Best-in-Class products and brands. Quality

Function Deployment has been employed along with benchmarking to compare

the various features of the product to find how they influence the Customer

needs.

Title: Noise Reduction at Source Using Viscoelastic Damper

Company: Ashok Leyland Technical Centre, Vellivoyalchavedi, Chennai

A paper has been presented on this title at a National level conference

"ADAMS 2011" held at Jayaram Engineering College Trichy.

This project aims at the identification of various noise sources of a

truck during the pass by noise measurement and then suitable damping

material and noise shields has been applied to reduce the structure borne

vibrations and noise emitted by the engine, so that it certifies the

Central Motor Vehicle's Regulation.
