AVP, LABOR & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS - Hospital Corporation of America (2007 to
2009). A Fortune 100 healthcare organization, operating more than 170
hospitals, with over 250,000 employees.
SYSTEM DIRECTOR, LABOR & EMPLOYEE RELATIONS - Appalachian Regional
Healthcare System (2005 to 2007). A major healthcare organization in
Kentucky and West Virginia, with 9 hospitals, 10 clinics, two unions and
6,000 employees.
PRINCIPAL AND SENIOR CONSULTANT- Ad Hoc Associates (1991 to 2005). A
Labor & Employee Relations consulting firm that also operated as or
through: Plan B, Chess-board and BMA Consulting.
DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT- The University of Chicago Hospitals
(1986 to1991). A world-class academic Medical Center operating four
hospitals and twenty-six clinics, with 6500 employees and five unions.
DIRECTOR OF ON BOARD OPERATIONS -Amtrak (1983-85).DIRECTOR OF LABOR
RELATIONS - Amtrak (1973 to 1983). The major rail passenger
transportation organization in the United States, with 23,000 employees and
seventeen labor unions.
