Thirty hours of direct hands-on training is performed in order to qualify to sit for the New York State Board
Examinations. This policy is mandated by the Department of Education, Albany New York.
Lectures regarding medical conditions such wounds, infections, nutritio nal needs and behaviors
particularly in regard to Alzheimer’s of the frail elderly are provided. And instructions on New York State
Mandates were implemented.
Teaching modalities such as Visual aides were introduced in the clinical setting.
