I am the contact person between doctor's offices and the following

departments, Diabetic education, Nutrition, Family Support, and

Preadmission Services. In this position I provide information regarding

these departments to both doctor's offices as well as to core schedulers.

As a resource to core schedulers I answer questions and review scheduled

appointments to ensure quality service. My duties include scheduling

appointments and registering patients for the appointments. In addition I

ensure the referral or order is valid in order to bill the insurance

companies. I am also responsible for contacting doctor's offices and

insurance companies to secure prior authorization if needed for a service.

I also process credit card payments for the family support classes offered
