PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
REDEFININGSTRATEGY.COM, BIZBIGPIC December 2002 – Present
Founder and CEO
Changing the way we understand and do business. Running the research initiative, which is intended
to explore and capture the essence of enduring success in business. Building a startup, BizBigPic, aiming
to offer an alternative to the conventional business school by providing a platform for continuous
business skill learning and personal marketing. Managing the idea dissemination and marketing efforts.
Developed a set of theories that explains how businesses and economies fundamentally work.
Created a casual video game that mimics a CEO’s actions when deciding what the company should
offer, when, and to whom. Produced the prototype (Ofmos.com) with a team of two programmers.
Designed and published a business graphic novel (Spointra.com) or “a children’s book for adults,”
bringing humor and conciseness to what is an introductory and reference book to a business theory.
Authored several articles published by various outlets, including MIT Sloan Management Review.
Designed and developed all websites associated with the initiative. Designed and sold a graphic t-shirt
inspired by a theory of needs. Producing and writing a short film around a new economic worldview.
TEDxUIUC, Champaign, IL November 2009 – Present
Producer / Director / Curator
Founded the TED-licensed “ideas worth spreading” initiative, developing a marketing vehicle for the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Organized two annual one-day conferences, where world-
class researchers and leaders share their ideas and innovations with a select live audience and, through
the recorded talks, with a vast online community. Partnered with the school to ensure continuity.
Crafted the organization, opting for a small, responsive team and a low-cost marketing strategy.
Curated the annual events by selecting and coaching accomplished speakers on the new, cinematic
talk format. Actively participated in the stage setup, filming, and video editing process.
Featured 17 live talks and a specially-commissioned film in 2010, and 18 live talks in 2011, with
speaker lineups that included a Nobel Peace Prize winner and an Academy Award winner.
Recruited key stakeholders, assembling the organizing teams (5 members and 20 volunteers) and
successfully negotiating with several suppliers and sponsors. Raised an average of $17,000 annually.
NUVIXA, Champaign, IL May 2011 – June 2011
Product Manager
Led the company’s efforts of shaping a university-developed technology into an innovative product
and a new product category. Brought in a unique insight into video-based communication and articulated
the vision for a tool (StagePresence) that combines proprietary software algorithms and depth-sensing
cameras (i.e., Kinect) to revolutionize the way people share knowledge and communicate with video.
Refined the definition of the product’s first version to include only a minimum set of meaningful
features that maximizes the number of use cases, without affecting the planned release date.
Designed the user interface with an intuitive, minimalist look and feel. Led and worked with a team
of engineers to design the interface flow, and a team of designers to produce the graphical elements.
