• As a student I was able to experience a variety of cases at this outpatient rehabilitation
facility with a strong focus on hand therapy. I was able at the end of this level 2 fieldwork
experience, to evaluate and treat patients with multiple conditions from beginning to end.
Responsibilities include using different modalities, standardized tests (Purdue peg board),
strengthening exercises, visual spatial skills, active and passive ROM, scar management,
and hands on massaging techniques.

• Integrative Therapy Concepts, Mooresville, NC (May 10’-July 10’)

• This was my first level 2 field work experience. This was an outpatient sensory integration
based pediatric clinic. At the end of this experience I was able to, with help from my
supervisor, complete evaluations and create a treatment plan. Responsibilities included
establishing proprioceptive/vestibular input with patients depending on their hyper/hypo
responses/sensitivities. It was my job to create a safe and productive environment for the
children based on their specific conditions while catering to those conditions. Some of the
evaluations would include the M-Fun, DAYC, and BEERY-VMI.

• 3-5 step planning and sequencing
• Feeding clinic (texture sensitivities)

• This level 1 fieldwork experience did not allow me to have any hands on contact with the
patients; however, I was able to observe bedside care evaluations and treatments with
patients of different spectrums. Completion of program required ability to write SOAP
notes and research on specific conditions.
