Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii 2003-2006

Aeronautical Engineering Officer / Rotary Wing Engineering Officer (2002-2006)-Led 50 member workforce

maintaining four $5 million H-65 Dolphin helicopters. Developed maintenance strategy and executed maintenance plan.

Promoted to acting engineering officer for six months, position usually filled by officer with 5-8 years more experience;

led an additional 100 people maintaining & crewing four $30 million C-130 airplanes. These aircraft & crew were

directly responsible for saving or assisting 88 lives. Aircraft flew 7,900 mishap free flight hours in support of missions

including search & rescue, typhoon & South East Asia tsunami relief, law enforcement, pollution response, & homeland

security. Awarded for performance of engineering & instructor pilot duties.

Search & Rescue Helicopter Pilot (1998-2002) -Pilot in command of H-65 helicopter with crew of four.

•Flew over 1500 flight hours, saving/assisting 25 lives, interdicting 3100 lbs of cocaine. Awarded twice for performance in

difficult search & rescue cases, once for performance of non-flying duties.

aeronautical engineering program consisting of on the job & resident training leading to engineering officer qualification.
