Deck Boss
As a licensed California Commercial Fisherman, I
was responsible for assisting a team of divers in
harvesting California Sea Urchins. I was
responsible for driving the boat while divers were
in the water and picking them up when they
surfaced. I handled the product (Sea Urchins) and
loaded the catch into the fish-hold. My daily
duties included preparing the boat for the trip and
maintaining a clean and organized deck throughout
the day. Upon returning to the harbor I was
primarily responsible for unloading the catch,
cleaning and docking the boat.
2004-2007 NICHOLBY'S NIGHT CLUB Ventura,

General Manager
I managed all aspects of this 300 person occupancy
nightclub. My primary duties were to manage a staff
of up to 20 people during very busy- high paced
hours of operation. I was responsible for
troubleshooting problems as they arose. I handled
all the preventative maintenance issues. I booked
and negotiated the purchase price for the
entertainment. I made decisions on the door cover
charge. I designed logos and produced fliers and
posters. I wrote all of the advertising campaigns
for radio and print and handled website
maintenance. I managed all of the production for
the shows, including working with management from
the entertainment talent, operating the stage
lights, assisting the sound team, and assisting the
bar staff. I focused on public relations by
attending mixers and being the "face" of the
nightclub. I hosted numerous nights by acting as
the Master of Ceremonies and selected the music
cohesive to the crowd. I also have over 5 years of
night club security experience at Nicholby's.

At this Marketing company, I served as a Venue
Supervisor. I would seek and acquire advertising
space. This company delivered Public Service
Messages to communities in need of raising
awareness on certain health issues. I would travel
and speak with business owners and management about
the participation in community programs, including
the placement of messages in the restrooms and/or
counter-top locations. I wrote detailed columns
about the progress of current campaigns for
publication to clients of EMS.

I was a server and a cook - and contributed to
marketing the restaurant. I created training
manuals and trained all new staff. I helped to

At many times, the restaurant became busy and I

Nationwide R.E.I.T. company. I worked for Archstone
Pelican Point Apartments, located in Ventura, Ca.
As a Leasing Consultant, I contributed to leasing
this 400 apartment complex. While aboard at
Archstone Pelican Point, our team averaged over a
90 percent occupancy rate by focusing on customer
retention and attention to detail. I was trained on
Rental Laws, Customer Service, and Sales. I worked
closely with Management, Maintenance staff and
Vendors to ensure the branded image continued
strong. As well, I lived on site and was available
to assist at all times with any emergency
situations.
1998-1999 CLARKE AMERICAN Ventura, CA
Boxer/Inspector
At this check manufacturing facility, I served as
an Inspector and Boxer. I would inspect checks
prior to shipping. This job required a sharp
memory and quick decision making. For my quick
learning ability, I was awarded Rookie of the Year
for this nationwide company. I learned other
aspects of the production line while working there,
including bindery experience, mail room experience,
and some stockroom experience. I served on two
committees. These were The Safety and Security
Committee and The Employees Committee.

TRANSPORTER
I transported patients to and from rooms inside of
the hospital. I had to be efficient and detail
oriented in this job. I displayed a high level of
enthusiasm for this job. I enjoyed the interaction
with the numerous patients I worked with.
