Benefits- communicate associate choices, facilitate open enrollment annually, track and

communicate newly eligible associates benefit eligibilities. Assist associate in making

benefit choices that would fit their needs.

Budget Management- Planned and wrote payroll budgets to help the store succeed at a

bigger bottom line so that the associate could get bonuses. I monitored on a daily, weekly

and monthly basis to bring in the necessary figures.

Hiring- review applications, conduct interview, process job offers, background checks,

pre-employment drug testing. Set up orientation.

Orientate - Teach new hires policy, procedures, safety. Process all employment paper

work to include State required and Federal required documents. Lead associate through

computer based learning and training modules.

Unemployment - Complete documentation for unemployment hearings, research policy,

misconduct, videos, pictures, statements, and reports. Prepare the Manager for

unemployment hearing.

Facilitate Evaluations - Ensure all associates receive a fair evaluation on time from

there supervisor.

Office operations- filing, typing, copying, phone, computers, faxing, laminating, using

Microsoft works software amongst other software.

Planning and running special events - Associate holiday parties, annual Picnics,

Annual grass roots meetings and fundraising events. Participated in community support

with CMN, Safe Nest, United way, Hurricane Katrina, etc….

Merchandise Supervisor - Supervised and ran several Departments by insuring in-stock

with ordering, merchandising, and special promotions. Planned and organized special

events to promote sales. Received special recognition for “Department Manager of the

Region” for displays, merchandising events, and sales increases.

Risk Control Lead- Supervised the safety team and lead in the associate training and

awareness of safety for associates to insurance company and corporate compliance.

Facilitated accident reviews. and customers. Investigated accidents for accurate

reporting
