Center Stage Theater Intern

Sold tickets through the Ticketmaster and Ticket Alternative systems. Marketing tasks, such as gathering posters

with Center Stage event listings and posting them over various locations throughout the Atlanta. Social media

posts, including ticket give away on Facebook, posting photos from shows that took place at the Center Stage

venues, and stories that would preview artists or events that would be coming.

• Administered corporate Facebook and Twitter accounts, monitoring notifications & profiles.

• Arranged the Center Stage Theater marquee.

• Performed venue related tasks: prepared & arranged bands and artist’s rooms, tested sound and lighting,

prepared food and other items for the artist rooms, moved band members’ equipment.

• Handled will call and guest lists, scanned tickets for entry, shadowed staff in charge of production of several

shows and events.

• Conducted merchandising for bands during 3 day weekend long event, ProgPower USA.

• Shadowed afternoon meetings of Rival Entertainment.

Creative Loafing Atlanta, Georgia 01/12 – 05/12

Online/Newspaper Publication Intern

Data entry, specifically concert events. Input event and show listings for concerts listed on music venue

calendars all across Atlanta. Authored and published music story pieces and posted in the Creative Loafing

Music blog section, Crib Notes including Q&A interview with a band or artist, a show or concert review, or a

show or album review. Transcribed interviews for editors.

• Contacted with musician’s publicists or PR firms in order to arrange story pieces.

• Conducted in-person and over-the-phone Q&As with a variety of musicians ranging from stars of many

different genres, such as Grimes, Andrew W.K., Ferry Corsten, School of Seven Bells and Lacuna Coil.

• Interfaced with music editors for story ideas, and pieced together engaging content for the readers
