Evaluates and, Operates a Leachate - Industrial Wastewater Treatment

Facility. Operates & monitors grit chamber, SBR Reactors, Storage Tanks,

Clarifiers, Pretreatment, Boilers, Flash tanks, Mixers,Groundwater Well

Stations, MMF filtration System, Reverse Osmosis Filtration Systems,

Evaporator, Chemical Feeders, Centrifuge, Sludge press, Raw water

Alkalinity, Ortho-phosphorous. Orders & Prepares all lab solutions,

supplies and standards needed to properly complete testing. Calibration of

all probes, readers, and lab equipment daily. Monitors chemical inventory

of all chemicals including caustic, soda ash, ferrous, lime, sodium

hypochlorite, and acids. Makes all chemical adjustments as needed to meet

all water quality standards. Follows all Start up and, Shutdown procedures.

Lead Shift Water Treatment Operator

Evaluates operations & maintenance required for the performance of the

water treatment facility, supervises, assigns, and assists in plant jobs

and duties to operators / assistant operators. Inspects plant equipment

including, pumping systems, chemical feeders, and measuring and control

systems. Executes routine maintenance and preventive maintenance including, lubrication of equipment, daily safety inspections, calibration of all

plant equipment, and proper plant housekeeping. Performs all start up and

shutdown operations and procedures. Maintains and monitors the plant status

including flows, pressure, chemical feed rates, levels, and all water

quality indicators. Maintains all plant paperwork's, records, operation

logs, and spreadsheets of all lab analysis and results, and all daily

hourly water quality analysis and results. Handles and assesses consumers

water quality complaints. Assesses and controls water quality to all safe

water quality / drinking water quality act rules and regulations.

Repairs/Replaces parts to operating equipment including, valves, motors,

hoses, gaskets, and fittings. Collects water samples hourly and performs

lab testing and analysis for turbidity, ph, alkalinity, hardness, color,

odor, CL2 residuals and, temperatures. Handles, loads, and feeds all

chemical: CL2(cylinders), bulk liquids (phosphate, polymer, ferric

chloride) and bagged and powered ( lime and activated carbon).

Cleans, washes, and removes sediments and debris from the settling basins,

low duty pits, intake, slow mixers, and traveling screen as needed.

Operates backhoe, forklift, hoist, and all other loading/unloading

equipment as needed. .Maintains and monitors distribution systems. Collects

samples throughout the distribution system. Collects lagoon samples for lab

analysis on a weekly basis. Maintains, tests/flushes, and repairs fire

hydrants within our system area to insure proper working order. Washes and

backwashes filters as needed. Monitors & Manages discharge, compliance, &

productions.
