development of intelligence requirements to better understand the mission at hand.
B y collecting and validating intelligence I am assessing the credibility of
i nformation and the reliability of sources. Working as a team is vital to the mission.
T he information is delivered as presentations or in formal reports and briefing to
t he commander. Analysts utilize various analytical techniques and procedures to
u nderstand and decode wide range of intelligence information.
Targeting also involves producing specialized analytical materials such as crime
maps, association charts, suspect profiles, and linkage analysis. In addition,
gathering, disseminating and using the intelligence material in compliance with
classification restrictions, law and the procedures and policies.
