Medical Physicist

Periodic QA tests of radiotherapy simulation, planning, and delivery systems, linear accelerators

and brachytherapy units.

Commissioning and acceptance of Varian linear accelerators and conventional Simulator.

Perform and analyze IMRT QA using Portal Imager (Varian) and Mapcheck.

3D CRT, IMRT, SRS and SBRT (lung and spine) plans using Eclipse and iPlan.

IGRT process using OBI and exactrac system.

Use of radiopharmaceuticals: 131I, 89Sr, 153Sm

HDR plans for cylinders, superficial applicators, and GYN interstitial cases using Oncentra and

Nucletron system.

Prostate Implant with 125I seeds using CMS interplant planning system.

Clinical Instructor

Assist the Chief Medical Physicist and Medical Physics Director by handling physics

responsibilities for the clinic, developing research, and contributing in the training of dosimetry and

medical physics graduate students.

Perform periodic QA tests of radiotherapy simulation, planning, and delivery systems, linear

accelerators and brachytherapy delivery units.

Commissioning and acceptance of Siemens linear accelerators and conventional Simulator.

Calibration and use of diodes and TLDs for in vivo dosimetry

Perform and analyze IMRT QA using PTW 729 and Verisoft software.

Familiar with XIO treatment planning system, and IGRT process using a Siemens CT on rails and

MV Cone Beam CT.

Familiar with image acquisition and treatment for Gamma Knife radiosurgery system.

system, and perform second check for LDR temporary implants.

Permanent Prostate Implant with 125I seeds using Variseed planning system.
