• Studied various hydrological and water quality measures of the streams and tributaries in the
drainage network
• Plotted and integrated Trimble (GPS) point data of tributaries from the field onto ArcMap
• Georeferenced the field guide map on ArcMap and spatially integrating the data points on it
• Analyzed a coarse contour map to delineate the watershed and to construct the individual
tributaries based on the flow pattern on the landscape
• Performed regression analysis on various aspects of the physical landscape with respect to stream
discharge to determine the surrogates for discharge

• To study orchid habitats in Southern Ontario, looked for online dataset such as landscape,
topography, digital elevation model, urbanized areas, and water bodies for modeling
• Created a Normalized Difference Vegetation Index layer for the study area as a study layer
• Identified the areas in Southern Ontario where conservation was possible given the specificities
of each species, and performed ground truth test using aerial photographs
