Scolopax clustering is a data visualization web application, used to visualize the bird species migration pattern.

• Designed and implemented a distributed k-means algorithm for discovering bird migration pattern using Hadoop and Hbase.

• Designed and implemented a naive bayesian classifier for classifying email corpus into spam or non-spam using Java.

• Implemented a page rank algorithm to determine the popularity of all the Wikipedia pages using Amazon EMR and Hadoop.

Photographic mosaic generator August 2012 - December 2012

• Implemented K-d tree and K-nearest neighbors algorithm to generate photographic mosaic, which resembles a given image by

using a collection of smaller images provided by the user.

IMDb visualization August 2012 - December 2012

Visualized all the filming locations of movies from 1900-2012 on a world map.

• Generated a JSON file for every 10-year interval between 1900-2012 to store all the movie names, location and the year it was shot.

Used several IMDb datasets and Hadoop to create the JSON.
