Facilities Area Manager/Planner
Responsibilities:
Area manager responsible for oversight of crafts persons including pipe
fitters, mechanics, electricians, welders. Also responsible for oversight
of machine shop operations and powerhouse. Duties include scheduling,
planning and execution of facilities related work including electrical
substations, boiler and air compressor repairs, fire system
repairs/renovations and chilled water systems as well as plant process
water operations.

Utilities Supervisor
Responsibilities:
The Supervisor of utilities is responsible for the operation and
maintenance of all utilities operations in a 10 million barrel/year brewery
during all shifts. These include the supervision of 12-30 mechanics,
electricians and wastewater treatment plant operators. Equipment
responsibility includes; two Riley utility boilers rated at 180,000 pph
firing pulverized coal and operating at 650 psi/800oF superheat. An ammonia
refrigeration plant containing 176,000 lbs of anhydrous ammonia and subject
to OSHA PSM regulations. Experience with multiple air compressor designs,
auxiliary boilers, pumps, towers, evaporative condensers, chillers, CO2
collection/cascade system, electrical systems. Responsibilities also
include the supervision of an activated sludge, (aerobic), wastewater
treatment plant handling 3.5 MGD of wastewater from the brewery. A
thorough understanding of the distributive control system, (D3),
controlling most plant operations is also part of the supervisor's duties.
The Supervisor reports directly to the Unit Manager/Utilities, and has
responsibility for all employee issues including safety, Lock-Out-Tag-Out
training, job assignments, discipline, scheduling and general supervision.
Project management is also a key responsibility that includes planning,
development of work scope, bid solicitation, vendor selection, and overall
project supervision through to completion. Experience with CMM systems,
Maximo, RCM, 5-S, 5-Why failure analysis and World Class Manufacturing
processes are also key functions.

Facilities Condition Assessment Program Manager-(FCAP)
Responsibilities:
Program manager operating within the Repair & Renovation department of the
facilities division. Direct reports include professional
assessors/inspectors in multiple disciplines including electrical systems,
HVAC systems, architectural systems analysis, ADA compliance, local/state
code compliance, and building programming analysis. I led and coordinated
plan review, space studies, historic analysis, and development of cost
estimations for capital renewal. I managed the database of information and
developed cost analysis charts, graphs, presentations, and management-level
written and electronic FCAP reports that support the funding acquisition
efforts of the university leadership. I provided direct support for the
university goals and was an essential resource for facilities Design &
Construction Services. Responsible for employee recruiting, training,

was also responsible for management of the program within budgetary
guidelines. I served as on-call administrator for the university with
budget authority as needed.

Responsibilities:
Department manager within the Department of Administration. Responsible
for 40+ direct reports including electricians, plumbers, pipe fitters,
millwrights, carpenters, locksmiths, steam engineers, and general laborers.
Ensured maximum operating efficiency of plant equipment as well as
appropriate maintenance levels/standards in multiple buildings within
specific budgetary guidelines. Utilized and assisted in the development of
the CMM system, (MP2), for control/tracking of parts inventories, work
order system tracking and purchasing of materials. I trained employees on
proper interaction with high-level state government officials to ensure
maximum comfort conditions with minimum tenant interference. I was on call
24/hrs/7days/week to respond to any and all emergencies occurring on
campus. I developed a maintenance program schedule to improve response
time to tenant needs.

Stationary Steam Engineer
Responsibilities:
Stationary Steam Engineer working on a rotating schedule. Responsible for
the operation and maintenance of multiple water-tube steam boilers
operating at 150 psi and 80,000 pph. Also responsible for reciprocating
and centrifugal air compressor operation and maintenance delivering up to
25,000 cfm of process air to the plant. Also responsible for the operation
and maintenance of multiple steam and gas fired air heaters. Duties also
included the operation and maintenance of a waste heat boiler system
utilized for nitrogen gas production that was used to supply multiple hot
stamping processes. I participated in several energy saving projects
including valve steam blankets, boiler trim modifications.

Responsibilities:
Operated 6 steam boilers of both fire tube and water tube design including
waste heat applications and co-generation. A 1 Mw gas turbine generator,
along with air compressors, vacuum systems, pumps, turbines and fans.
Operated the chiller plant with over 7,000 tons of capacity including
centrifugal chillers and absorbers.
