functions for a Tier 1 Automotive supplier having ~ 230 employees.
. Developed strategy, executed Factory consolidation, taking
business from four sites to two, eliminating redundancies in
capacity, inventory, fixed OH, etc... Resulted in taking a loss
making business to profitability in 2 years. Managed
consolidation on time, below budget and seamless to market.
. Improved operating income 5 fold in less than 3 years through
site consolidation, factory productivity gains, global sourcing
strategy.
. Responsible for business wide continuous improvement program
that delivered annual savings from reformulation, sourcing and
waste reduction programs that approximated $1MM to $1.2MM
. To inspire involvement in a unionized environment, I created a
self-funding "Gain Share" program. Paid financial incentives
quarterly for factory cost reduction ideas that saved thousands,
encouraged employee participation
