Objective: To get back into the HVAC industry as an entry level installation
technician, service technician, or maintenance position.
Q ualifications: I have worked 33 years in the automotive industry as a machine
tool electrician in a manufacturing environment. However, more
recently I worked as an installation technician in the HVAC industry.
M y electrical experience defiantly gave me an advantage. Just a few
of my responsibili ties were:
• Install furnace’s and air conditioning units
• Install vent pipes from furnace to outside of structure
• Reconnect gas lines
• Check W.C. gas pressure depending on gas or propane
• Wire furnace, and A/C
• Install thermostat
• Run refrigerant lines, braze, fill with nitrogen and
check for leaks, pull a vacuum and fill lines with
refrigerant
• Run A/C, check superheat or subcooling depending on
f ixed orifice or TXV, for proper charge
Although I don’t have the years of experience, I can do the
work.
