Preformed daily medical care for active duty service member and their families on a multi –service,

pre-post surgical, and telemetry capable with a pediatrics wing ward. Collected and charted daily

vitals, intake and outtakes. Intravenous device placement, maintenance/monitoring, infusions

PO/PR/IM medication administration. Phlebotomy and wound/culture specimen collection testing,

colostomy and Jackson&Prat drainage care. Maintained patients wound care and wet to dry

dressing changes. Intake & output and vital signs monitoring and documentation. Chest tube

drainage system monitoring. Duties not limited to proper cleaning and sanitizing of patients rooms,

changing linen, over all cleanliness and restocking of medication rooms for continues pt care.

Basic Aid Station Corpsman for Combat Logistics Battalion 11 Camp Pendleton CA with the 11th

Marines Expeditionary Force from 2010 to June 2012.

• Duties & Responsibilities:

Performed various administrative and clerical duties, such as scheduling Marines for their yearly

Physical Health Assessments, performed daily sick call and triage patients; maintained and filed

medical records for 500 battalion personnel, including monthly updates of their vaccinations and

deployment readiness status.

Responsible for accurately transcribing vital signs, labs, and medical reports into patient’s medical

records. Helped with daily physical examinations and has successfully written over 50 S.O.A.P

notes via supervision of a medical officer. The first line before a patient sees a provider, during

which baseline vital signs as well as performing ECG’s. Supervised 6 treatment rooms for stocking,

and maintained the upkeep of medical supplies costing over $100,000 during daily sick call, pre-

deployment and while deployed on ship. While aboard naval ships, performed ward duties such as

long term care or patients, along with daily sick call, triage, phlebotomy for patients that needed lab

evaluation, along with rapid Strep exams and Urinalysis.

Naval Health Clinic, Souda Bay Crete Naval Air Station, isolated duty via Naval Hospital Sigonella,

Italy, 2009-2010.

• Duties & Responsibilities: Clinic Corpsman

Person in-charge of daily patient scheduling, screenings for special programs and retirement

packages, medical readiness overhauled from 73% to 98%, vital signs charting, laboratory duties

such blood testing, urinalysis, strep testing, phlebotomy, packaging and handling of samples for

300 base personnel. Duties included, supply officer for ordering and maintaining $400,000 worth of

medical supplies and equipment. Served as the clinic mail orderly, indoctrination officer for 200 new

personnel, CBRNE responder, 280 monthly bacteriological and chemical analysis of the base water

for over 72,000 visiting US and NATO troops, health inspector for incoming base food supply.

1st Marine Division, 1st Marines/ 5th Division Alpha Company (volunteer Individual augmentee)

Deployed with 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Pendleton CA 2007-2008.

- Company Field Corpsman

Directly Responsible for the Healthcare and readiness of 40 Marines. Verified and inputted

healthcare data into 200 records and 250 entries into Medical Readiness Review System,

administered over 2000 immunizations, obtained and charted vitals, as well aid with daily sick call

and triaged to the battalion aid station. Provided assistant to the medical officer and independent

duty corpsman with treatment and diagnosis of 30 patients a week, as well as, Medical coverage for

over 20 live fire ranges.

Hospital Corpsman at Naval Hospital Robert E. Bush Twentynine Palms, CA

2006-2009.

• Duties & Responsibilities:

- Ward Corpsman

In-charged of 18 rooms for stocking, restocking, linen and cleanliness. Caring for patients of 10,000

base and training personnel ranging from pediatrics to elderly care, Marines, Sailors and their

families, from post to pre-operative, to short and long term care. Daily task of patient admission,

obtaining and charting vital signs, intake and outtakes, lab values, performed Electrocardiograms,

laboratory procedure such as blood cultures, wound care both sterile and not sterile, phlebotomy

and blood transfusions, assisted in respiratory care.

- Education and Training Corpsman:

Created, maintained and updated of hospitals education and tracking system, that tracked over 500

certificates monthly for data accuracy.

Coordinated and facilitated the Emergency Medical Technician training, ensuring proper training

and certification of fellow sailors.

Program Administrator for Resuscitative Medicine and Trauma Courses, maintained course record,

instructor files and timely submission of Post course reports. Coordinated, schedules and

overseeing 120 BLS, 25 ACLS and 15 PALS students.

Tactical Combat Casualty Care coordinator of 153 students from July 08 to March 09 resulting in

45% increased of combat readiness. Responsible for a $120,000 annual Departmental Budget and

$150,000 worth of equipment.
