This letter is to express my interest in the position as a Cad Draftsman listed on craigslist.com. Based on

my skills in architecture and construction, I am confident I will be a great addition to your company.

My resume that highlights my ability/knowledge/expertise in architecture and construction is enclosed.

During my 15 year experience at the company that I started, I was able to create as built drawings for

existing buildings and site conditions. I designed and prepared construction documents for new

residences, room additions, and 2nd story additions, commercial buildings and tenant improvement

projects. I designed and prepared Type V construction. Also, I prepared construction documents for fire

damaged structures.

Project duties included: designed and prepared architectural documents, submitted plans for clients,

answered plan check corrections and obtained city approval, coordinated with consultants, coordinated

with city planners regarding city codes, and pulled permits for clients. I also prepared Title 24 energy

calculations.

I have knowledge of building codes and ADA. Also, I have knowledge to e-mail Autocad files and PDF

files to consultants and clients.

Recently, I did a site surveying project. My extensive knowledge in running an architectural drafting

company provides me the analytical, estimating, scheduling, and management skills. I will always have a

personal commitment to quality control. I am a team player, self-motivated & willing to take on new

challenges.

I have worked throughout Southern California and in the Central Valley. I have a working relationship

with Structural Engineers in the Southern California area.

I have a licensed Autocad 2008 program. I have a wide format printer for 24 x 36 drawings and larger.
