Qualified secondary source in 6 Months for component that was said to be
impossible to source for over
Mentored purchasing staff from simple tactical purchase order creation to
more strategic roles within organization. Including leveraging,
negotiating, D & B analysis, spend analysis, and standard cost analysis.
Project managed for $2 million supplier investment project for outsourcing
secondary processes to free up capacity for company manufacturing ramp
without any capital outlay for FCE.
Negotiated fixed price contract to buy in Japanese Yen with a savings of
$10K per unit

Created cross-functional review process for reverse auctions to insure
successful reverse auctions. This process improved implementation by 50%.
Completed a global castings assessment that improved capacity, delivery and
DOH for Chinese suppliers. Improved lead time from 5-6 months to 2.5 - 3

Achievements:
Created process to track ECR/ECO responses from suppliers and formula to
adjust supplier quality scores for anything outstanding. This improved
backlog from 700 open responses to less than 30 per month.
Initiated first international sourcing activity at this location that
resulted in sourcing a part for #.37 each compared to $5.45 domestic price
for EAU of 4 mil/ $5.08 mil cost avoidance for new engine release.
Completed market test for fasteners that resulted in $2 mil first year
savings.
Responsible for managing the supply chain for $100 million production part
spend annually (domestic and international suppliers)
Requested RFQs, negotiate final buys, provide cost and price analysis for
purchases.
