Project Details:

Title: Configurable Single mode Embedded Floating Point Units Using FPGA

Tool Used: Xilinx 9.2i, Virtex 2 FPGA boards.

Team: 3 members

Description:

The FPU can be configured to single precision or double precision.

It cans computation addition, subtraction, multiplication,

division and square root. Based on IEEE 754 for floating point

arithmetic single precision format with 32-bits wide. The main aim to

increase the speed of computation. To create a flexible, generic

embedded FPU, which over a variety of applications will improve

performance and reduce power consumption.
