ACADEMIC PROJECT:
PROJECT TITLE: Modeling and Detection of Camouflaging Worm
DESCRIPTION : C-Worm is an active worm which propagates on the internet
to infect other computers. Existing worm detection schemes will not be able
to detect such scan traffic patterns. Proposed worm detection scheme uses
novel spectrum-based scheme, Power Spectral Density (PSD) distribution and
Spectral Flatness Measure (SFM) to distinguish the C-Worm traffic from
background traffic. Thus C-Worm successfully camouflages its propagation in
time domain Based and developed a novel spectrum-based detection scheme to
detect the C-Worm.
