RE: Supporting letter
After Matric (Grade 12) I studied at the Technicon Pretoria, Communication
Sciences and Psychology at UNISA. I tried to fund myself and sadly failed
to come forward with sufficient funding during my third year.
After this I entered the Police force for four years at the department of
Information Technology.
I later studied with the AFM Bible School and was finally ordained by
Harvester International Church in Cape Town as a minister, and designated
as Marriage Officer: March 1999.
During my free time I did computer aided design (CAD) for an Architectural
firm, S. De Jong & Co.
I have been retrenched as the Logistics Manager for GR8 Holdings, effective
31 August 2013. Subsequently I am in urgent need to find new employment
ASAP. Though my wife and I are truly grateful for this job I received by
grace, we understood it would be for a short season. Though this is not
what we have been called for and as a result it's not fulfilling our
calling in the ministerial field. Our online ministry has kept us in the
ministry field, but it is not as personal as being a pastor to a
congregation, and full time employment in God's service is what my wife and
I seek.
I did a couple of other things before I got the urging from Holy Spirit to
become ordained:
I was training manager for a clothing concern and did training in 7
branches.
I took up employment at a Resort doing marketing and sales in the upper-
income class.
Hereafter I was offered a management position in a stationary distribution
company.
From there I moved into the security field, managing one company and later
I was offered a management position at the Johannesburg International
Airport as Valuable Cargo Security manager.
I was actively involved with the Performing and Fine Arts, being an artist
myself - I play various instruments.
I took part in Soccer, Hockey, Volley Ball, Cricket and Karate.
I developed various Children's Church curricula. My ministry took me all
over Africa. I was in this field for nearly 20 years. I planted a few
churches in and around South Africa and I developed various Children's
Church curricula.
I also founded and headed a Dance academy for street kids.
I spent most of my time in Malawi educating kids on the dangers of various
African Diseases and training Pastors in the field. There I spearheaded
the logistical import and redistribution of various materials and aids into
central Africa. We started a hub from where these activities could be
planned and managed in Blantyre.
Relocating to KZN I started my own home school as I realized a need for
schooling children with ADD and ADHD. My course in Deep level Christian
Psychological Therapy aided me in this a lot. The school was sold three
years ago.
I have a God given talent in teaching the Word of God to today's
generations; managing people and resources.
I can honestly be successful in whatever I attempt. I am willing to
undergo a probation period and or psychometric testing to prove my claims.
I am, due to my nature a person of integrity, complete honesty and
strategic thinking. "I am a people's person" - it is what I do best - re-
sourcing, encouraging, motivating, teaching the Word and leading. My
philosophy on ministry is simple... In the words of Gene Edwards: "The only
valid ministry is the release of the indwelling Christ, everything else is
religion". I truly believe this statement and believe that Jesus came to
set us free and usher us into the new dispensation.
Sincerely,
Werner Horn .
