Contract Manager
Provided contracting support to the Progress Fuels Marketing and
Trading organization. Assisted in development of contracts, created
and sent out confirmation documents, and tracked contract status
for coal and synthetic fuel sales and coal purchases.
Worked with sales reps to contract suppliers while rep was in the
field.
Created Contract Process for coal and synfuel unit: establishing a
database for all contracts and vendors to allow tracking of current
contracts and to track established vendors in the system.
Worked with IT to establish licenses for all software and
integrated hardware. Sourced new electronic file cabinet, etc.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, reviews
documents and process for conformity, and addresses operational,
legal, risk management, insurance, finance, tax, credit, accounting
and audit concerns from clearly prescribed rules, past practices or
instruction.
As a project manager I developed the entire procedures handbook for
the position. Created a spreadsheet for tracking using Access to
track all incoming and outgoing contracts and amendments- tracking
where the deals were at any given point from start to execution.
Team member that initiated the Electronic File Cabinet for entire
corporation - ensuring document storage on the server and in-house.
Last half of employement: I acted as the Project Manager setting
precedent for procedure relating to all contracts and amendments
coming in from counter parties and routing through legal and back
to counterparty.
