• Redesigned the design folder structure for the diesel engine engineering group and implemented the structure

into Design Record Book

• Created a backup protection system for the Tier 4 locomotive engine that will protect it from damage if the

engine control unit fails. This involved creating the harnesses, installing new sensors on the second engine,

building an alarm panel, working with the wiremen to install the panel, and doing the final tests on the system

to ensure that it functions properly.

• Developed concept for a system that delivers environmentally neutral, full-scale, closed-system algae

production using photobioreactors at municipal wastewater treatment facilities

• Investigated market opportunities for both producers and potential users of algae and algae-related products

in order to understand the market and its needs

• Evaluated technical and economic feasibility of reactor implementation at wastewater treatment facilities
