Mechanic 2012- 2013

Repaired and overhauled the ship engine. Liner replacement, piston

replacement, lifters replacement, cam replacement, head replacement,

injector replacement. Interpreted instructions and documentation from the

foreman. Moved materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work

site. Completed records, maintained tools and equipment, and performed

various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Followed all safety rules and

procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Duties: Unload and Reload Ships coming into Port while lashing containers.

Utilize MHE equipment. Operate fork lift and heavy lift. Moved freight,

stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading

docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks,

tractors, or other equipment. Read work orders or receive oral instructions

to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs. Stacked cargo

in locations such as transit sheds or in holds of ships as directed, using

pallets or cargo boards.

Mercedes International, Armored Vehicle and FMTV. 10-20-30- level, direct

tractors; electrical household or commercial appliances such as stoves,

refrigerators, or dishwashing machines; or heavy equipment including

Assisted in unloading pumps and setup pumps for repair. Checked thrust,

total float, and coupling contact. Disassembled upper halves of bearing

housing for inspection. Checked flatness, disassembled, tagged all parts,

washed, sand blasted and painted final product. Unload equipment from

trucks, pressure wash, sand blast, and paint final product. Precision

Measurement, Assembly, DCI valves, rebuilt valve and lap valve seats.

Repaired pumps of machinery: Examined pumps for malfunctioning and

located damage or wear, such as blowout packing, misalignment of pump

shaft, slippage of drive belt, worn bearings, or need for lubrication.

Observes operation of pumps and feels for heat and vibration of parts to

detect cause of malfunctioning.

Dismantles pumps and performs repairs, such as cleaning impellers,

repacking stuffing boxes, tightening glands, and replacing bearings, using

hand tools.

Trailer repair. 10-20-30-level, direct support

Perform organizational maintenance and 10, 20, and 30 level direct support

maintenance on various military vehicles to include HMMMV, 5 Ton, 2 Ton,

Hemtt, Freight liner (M915), 10K Atlas forklift, 113 Troop Carrier, rebuilt

starters and alternators installed wiring harnesses, worked at TMP and

conducted security patrol around camp.

Repaired war torn Humvees, ASV, Hemitt, PLS, FMTV, Hex truck & trailer and

installed fire suppression system. Installined 5 different armor kits on

the Humvees also worked on cab change out for all of the above. Worked on

Construction Equipment, MHE installing armor kits, turret for ASV,

humvees, 5 tons, hemits with attention to trouble shooting faults in the

system. Inspect armor plates on war torn equipment for safety.
