Experience
• Patrol Officers are first responders. Responsibilities include working as a team leader and as a support unit to the team. The primary responsibility is to asses a crime scene and determines if involvement from other agencies is required, determine how many additional officers are needed and assign them a position and responsibility.
• DUI Officers are responsible for responding to officers who were on traffic stops or investigating accidents and suspected a driver of being intoxicated.
• Accident investigators are dispatched to accident scenes. They determine the driver who is the proximate cause and issue a summons. I was also a member of the Fatal Accident Team.
• Recruiting Officers work with Human Resources. Their responsibility is to attend job fairs in the community, military installations, and schools. Answer inquiries by phone and from walk-ins. Participate in all aspects of the testing process, schedule dates for testing, allocate officers to assist in the process, and assist applicants throughout the process.
• Training Academy Instructors teach classes on law, policy and procedures, firearms, and defensive tactics.
Education
