Improved production, supply chain and logistics

efficiency for manufacturers and distributors in

medical devices, pharmaceuticals and beverages.

At InBev and Johnson & Johnson, I increased

productivity while tightly controlling costs.

I can contribute in a new environment by:

* Harnessing technology and systems to improve

business processes

* Ensuring raw materials are top quality and

available just in time

* Streamlining operations to improve efficiency

and cut waste

* Meeting demanding production and delivery

schedules

* Training high-performance cross-functional

teams

Fluent in Spanish and conversant in Portuguese,

I possess strong communications and leadership

skills. I earned an MBA in Business & Operations

Management from CEU Cardenal Herrera, Valencia,

Spain in 2004, and a BS degree in Industrial

Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico, Santo

Domingo in 2001.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Designed new supply chain process to save $3M.

InBev production was stymied with lack of

storage space, causing incoming bottles to be

held in port. Devised strategy for doubling

stack heights of new bottles. Enabled increased

production capacity and eliminated substantial

overdue port charges.

Elevated service levels 20%+. InBev unit lacked

comprehensive metrics for measuring service levels,

impeding ability to meet corporate standards.

Established performance mapping for Sales,

Production and Distribution groups, setting goals

reinforced by weekly meetings. Elevated service

levels from 78% to 99% in 90 days.

Cut scrap rate more than 40%. InBev returned-

bottle scrap rate was excessive, costly and

rising. Developed and implemented comprehensive

materials handling plan, including training of

distribution supervisors and drivers. Emphasized

value of returned bottles and handling care.

Slashed scrap rate from 11.3% to 6.5% first six

months.

Implemented SAP R3 in two countries in only 120

days. InBev needed to bring new ERP platform

online in Brazil and the Dominican Republic. Led

team coordinating installation at both units.

Overcame language/cultural barriers to

accelerate process. Trained 500+ users in two

languages and went live ahead of schedule.

Reengineered production to save $960K annually

at J&J. Dental floss production suffered from

excess waste during testing and assembly

processes. Conducted gap analyses, identifying

opportunity to reduce material used for

extension tests. Cut production time 5% while

reducing waste per roll 50%.

Developed automated QA management solution. J&J

plant lacked adequate QA tracking controls.

Teamed up with production and engineering,

gathered specifications and built tracking

system. Created online database tracking

production from WIP to completion. Company

replicated system in other plants.
